our story
We met how most people meet, at a wedding on a pirate ship.
We naturally drifted towards each other from opposite sides of the poop deck (yes, the stern of the boat is actually called a poop deck), and have pretty much not left each other’s side since. The love came easy as we magnetically fell into each other’s orbit. A week later, we were sailing off into a Mexican sunset and have never looked back.
(Not on the pirate ship… Actually, we cruised away with the top down on Eric’s vintage BMW, which attracts quite a bit of attention at the checkpoints in Baja, but that is a story for another time).
While we can’t say that the past 5 years have been filled with ease and silliness, we can say that our love has been unwavering. Hard times have come. Together we have weathered great loss and risen through to become even stronger together.
We continue to rise together. We return to Mexico to exhale. Now with little Jade in tow. As our family grows, so too does our commitment to our precious life side by side.
Throughout our relationship, we have never been ones to shy away from the depths of big, beautiful ceremonies, or late-night parties punctuated with a last-minute stop for delicious street corn, or a quick dip into a random photo booth (have you seen our fridge display of photo strips!?)… in fact, these are some of our favorite things, and might just make a cameo on our special day.
We won’t have a pirate ship, though. That is a part of our story that's too magical to recreate.

Minimal AirBnBs are available in Lyons. Mountain cabins will be available in nearby areas such as Pinewood Springs, Allen’s Park, and Estes Park, however, please consider that snow is very possible at higher elevations this time of the year, and nighttime mountain roads can be dangerous if you are not familiar with them.
NIGHT SHUTTLE
In order for all guests to be able to enjoy responsibly, we will be offering a party bus shuttle at the end of the evening only.
Rideshare apps (Lyft and Uber) will be available to get to Lyons, but they will likely not be available at the end of the night.
If you plan to take the shuttle from Lyons to Longmont, drop-off will occur at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Longmont only. There will be three scheduled pickups:
leaving at 10:15 pm from Planet Bluegrass (or when the bus is full)
leaving at 11:15 pm from Lyons Classic Pinball
leaving at 12:15 am from Lyons Classic Pinball
Please note that there is a lot of wildlife in the area this time of year, and we would like everyone to be responsible. Some cars can be left at Planet Bluegrass, if required; however, they request that all vehicles be picked up the following morning before 10 am.
