We met how most people meet, at a wedding on a pirate ship.

We naturally drifted towards each other from opposite sides of the poop deck, and have pretty much not left each other’s side since. The love came easy as we magnetically fell into each other’s orbit. A week later, we were sailing off into a Mexican sunset and have never looked back.
(Not on the pirate ship… Actually we cruised away with the top down on Eric’s vintage BMW, which attracts quite a bit of attention at the checkpoints in Baja, but that is a story for another time).

While we can’t say that the past 5 years have been filled with ease and silliness, we can say that our love has been unwavering. Hard times have come. Together we have weathered great loss and risen through to become even stronger together. 

We continue to rise together. We return to Mexico to exhale. Now with little Jade in tow. As our family grows, so too does our commitment to our precious life side by side. 

Throughout our relationship, we have never been ones to shy away from the depths of big beautiful ceremonies, or late night parties punctuated with a last minute stop for delicious street corn, or a quick dip into a random photo booth (have you seen our fridge display of photo strips!?)… in fact these are some our favorite things, and might just make a cameo on our special day. 
We won’t have a pirate ship though. That is a part of our story that too magical to recreate.
